Protecting The FlyTribe Brand
The FlyTribe brand represents who we are and how we present ourselves to members, organisations and partners around the world.
These Brand Guidelines explain how The FlyTribe name, logo, visual identity and communications should be used to maintain a consistent, professional and recognisable brand across our platform, website, marketing and approved partnerships.
About These Brand Guidelines
The FlyTribe Brand Guidelines set out how The FlyTribe name, brand identity and visual assets should be used when representing the business.
They are intended to help ensure that The FlyTribe is presented consistently, professionally and accurately across the Services, website, marketing materials, partnerships and other approved communications.
They apply to employees, contractors, partners, agencies, creators and other third parties who are authorised to use The FlyTribe brand or brand assets.
These Brand Guidelines should be read together with our Terms of Service, Commercial & Advertising Policy, Branded Content Policy and other applicable FlyTribe policies.
Important: The FlyTribe name, logo, visual identity and other brand assets must not be used in a way that falsely suggests endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation or approval where no such relationship exists.
1. The FlyTribe Name and Logo
The FlyTribe name and logo are important parts of our brand identity and should be used consistently and accurately.
2.1 Approved Use
The FlyTribe name and logo may only be used in the form and formats approved by The FlyTribe.
Where brand assets are provided for use by an authorised partner, creator, contractor or other third party, they must not be altered in a way that changes their appearance, meaning or identity.
2.2 Logo Alterations
You must not:
distort, stretch or rotate the logo;
change approved colours without permission;
alter the proportions of the logo;
add effects, shadows or other treatments that change its appearance;
remove or alter elements of the logo; or
combine the logo with another brand in a way that creates a misleading impression of ownership, partnership or endorsement.
2.3 Clear Brand Identity
The FlyTribe branding must remain visually distinguishable from other brands, businesses or organisations.
The brand must not be presented in a way that could reasonably cause someone to believe that another person or organisation operates, owns, sponsors or officially represents The FlyTribe when that is not the case.
2.4 Unauthorised Use
Unauthorised use of The FlyTribe name, logo or other protected brand assets may be restricted or removed.
The FlyTribe may take appropriate action where brand assets are used in a misleading, infringing or otherwise inappropriate manner.
2. Brand Colours
The FlyTribe colour palette should be used consistently across approved digital products, marketing materials and communications.
3.1 Primary Brand Colours
Approved brand colours should be used in accordance with the current FlyTribe design system.
Colours should not be changed, substituted or reproduced inaccurately where doing so could weaken recognition of the brand.
3.2 Feature Colours
Certain colours may be reserved for specific functions or feature areas within The FlyTribe.
Where a colour has been assigned a specific functional meaning, it should not be repurposed in a way that could confuse members about the meaning of an interface element, notification, warning or action.
3.3 Accessibility
Brand colours must be used in a way that supports accessibility and readability.
Text, controls, icons and other important interface elements should maintain appropriate contrast and should not rely on colour alone to communicate important information.
3.4 Consistency
The FlyTribe brand should maintain a consistent visual appearance across platforms and materials.
Where a particular product interface or communication requires an adaptation for accessibility, technical requirements or another legitimate purpose, the underlying brand identity should remain recognisable.
3. Typography
The FlyTribe should use a clear, modern and consistent typographic system across approved digital products, marketing materials and communications.
4.1 Primary Typeface
Inter is the preferred typeface for The FlyTribe.
Where practical, Inter should be used consistently across:
application interfaces;
website content;
marketing materials;
presentations;
digital communications; and
other branded materials.
4.2 Hierarchy
Typography should establish a clear visual hierarchy between:
page titles and headings;
section headings;
body text;
supporting information;
labels;
buttons and controls; and
legal or informational text.
Font size and weight should be appropriate to the importance and purpose of the content.
4.3 Readability
Text should remain clear and comfortable to read across desktop and mobile devices.
Typography must not be reduced to a size that makes important information difficult to understand or interact with.
Accessibility requirements, including text scaling and sufficient contrast, should be considered when applying the brand typography.
4. Photography, Imagery and Visual Content
The FlyTribe's imagery should support the brand's identity and the experience of travelling for work.
5.1 Authentic and Relevant Imagery
Images used in FlyTribe communications should be:
relevant to the subject or feature being presented;
appropriate for a professional travel audience;
visually clear and high quality; and
used with the necessary rights or permissions.
5.2 Consistent Visual Style
Photography, illustrations and other visual assets should maintain a consistent visual language across the website, app, marketing materials and other approved communications.
Imagery should complement rather than overpower the information being communicated.
5.3 Member and Third-Party Images
You must have the appropriate permission or lawful basis to use photographs or other images containing identifiable people, protected works or third-party brand assets.
Images must not be used in a way that falsely suggests a person, business or organisation endorses The FlyTribe.
5.4 Accessibility
Important information must not be communicated through imagery alone.
Where appropriate, alternative text, descriptive labels or other accessible formats should be provided so that visual content can be understood by members using assistive technologies.
5. Brand Voice and Communications
The FlyTribe's written communications should be clear, confident, welcoming and useful.
6.1 Tone
The FlyTribe should communicate in a way that is:
professional without being overly formal;
clear rather than complicated;
helpful and practical;
inclusive and respectful; and
appropriate for an international business-travel audience.
6.2 Consistent Language
Brand communications should use consistent terminology for FlyTribe features, services and member interactions.
Where a feature has an established name, that name should be used consistently across the app, website, marketing materials and supporting communications.
6.3 Clarity
Content should communicate the important information first and avoid unnecessary jargon, exaggerated claims or unnecessarily complicated language.
Where legal, safety or technical information is required, it should remain accurate while being presented as clearly as reasonably possible.
6.4 International Audience
The FlyTribe serves members travelling and connecting across different countries and cultures.
Communications should therefore avoid assumptions about nationality, culture, language, professional background or personal circumstances and should remain respectful of an international audience.
6. Website, App and Digital Brand Use
The FlyTribe brand should be presented consistently across its website, application, digital communications and other online platforms.
7.1 Consistent Presentation
The website and application should maintain the approved FlyTribe visual identity, including:
approved logo usage;
brand colours;
typography;
imagery;
icons and visual elements; and
established terminology.
7.2 Digital Interfaces
Changes to the visual design of FlyTribe interfaces should preserve the overall brand identity while allowing appropriate adaptations for:
different screen sizes;
mobile and desktop experiences;
accessibility requirements;
platform-specific requirements; and
technical limitations.
7.3 Social Media and External Platforms
Where The FlyTribe is represented on social media, directories, partner platforms or other external services, authorised representatives should use approved brand assets and information wherever reasonably possible.
Third parties must not create accounts, pages or profiles that could reasonably be mistaken for an official FlyTribe presence without authorisation.
7.4 Brand Consistency and Accessibility
Brand consistency must not take priority over accessibility.
Where an accessibility adjustment is necessary to make content or an interface more usable, the adjustment may be made while maintaining the recognisable FlyTribe identity.
7. Brand Partnerships and Third-Party Use
Third parties may use The FlyTribe brand only where that use has been authorised or otherwise permitted by The FlyTribe.
8.1 Authorised Partners
Where a partner, sponsor, creator, business or organisation is authorised to use FlyTribe brand assets, they must:
use the approved assets provided by The FlyTribe;
follow any specific usage requirements communicated to them;
represent the relationship accurately; and
avoid suggesting a broader partnership, endorsement or affiliation than actually exists.
8.2 Co-Branding
Where The FlyTribe brand appears alongside another brand, the presentation should make the relationship between the parties clear.
Co-branded materials must not create a misleading impression about ownership, sponsorship, endorsement or responsibility.
8.3 Third-Party Marketing
A third party must not use the FlyTribe name, logo or other brand assets in advertising, marketing or promotional material without appropriate authorisation.
Where permission is granted, The FlyTribe may specify how, where and for how long the brand assets may be used.
8.4 Withdrawal of Permission
The FlyTribe may withdraw permission to use its brand assets where reasonably necessary.
Following withdrawal, the relevant party must stop using the affected brand assets within any timeframe communicated by The FlyTribe.
8. Unauthorised Use and Enforcement
The FlyTribe may take action where its name, logo, visual identity or other brand assets are used without permission or in a way that conflicts with these Brand Guidelines.
9.1 Unauthorised Use
Unauthorised use may include:
creating an account, Page or profile that falsely appears to represent The FlyTribe;
using FlyTribe branding to suggest an unauthorised partnership or endorsement;
modifying or reproducing brand assets without permission;
using FlyTribe branding in misleading or unlawful material; or
using brand assets after permission has been withdrawn.
9.2 Actions We May Take
Depending on the circumstances, The FlyTribe may:
request that the use is corrected or stopped;
require removal of unauthorised brand material;
withdraw permission to use brand assets;
restrict or remove associated content or accounts; or
take other appropriate action under our Terms of Service or applicable law.
9.3 Protecting the Brand
The FlyTribe may take reasonable steps to protect its name, trademarks, visual identity and other intellectual property from misuse, infringement or misleading association.
9. Changes to These Brand Guidelines
The FlyTribe may update these Brand Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes to our brand identity, Services, visual design, communications, legal requirements or business activities.
10.1 Updated Brand Assets
Where new or updated brand assets are provided, authorised users should use the latest approved versions and discontinue use of superseded assets within any timeframe communicated by The FlyTribe.
10.2 Changes to Brand Standards
The FlyTribe may update requirements relating to:
logos and other brand assets;
colours and typography;
imagery and visual content;
tone of voice and communications;
digital and external brand use; and
partnerships and third-party brand usage.
10.3 Existing Materials
Where reasonably practicable, The FlyTribe may allow existing printed, published or otherwise distributed materials to remain in use for a reasonable period following a brand update.
Where continued use could create a misleading impression or otherwise materially conflict with the updated brand identity, The FlyTribe may require the relevant materials to be corrected or withdrawn.
10. Brand Assets and Intellectual Property
The FlyTribe name, logo, visual identity, designs, graphics, written materials and other brand assets may be protected by intellectual property rights.
11.1 Ownership
Unless otherwise stated, The FlyTribe retains its rights in its name, logo, visual identity and other proprietary brand materials.
These Brand Guidelines do not transfer ownership of any FlyTribe intellectual property to another person or organisation.
11.2 Limited Permission
Where The FlyTribe authorises a person or organisation to use its brand assets, that permission is limited to the purpose and circumstances for which it was granted.
Authorisation does not create ownership or a general licence to use FlyTribe intellectual property for unrelated purposes.
11.3 Respecting Third-Party Rights
FlyTribe brand materials must not be combined with third-party content in a way that infringes another person's rights or creates a misleading impression about ownership or affiliation.
11.4 Reporting Misuse
Suspected unauthorised or misleading use of FlyTribe brand assets may be reported through the support or contact methods made available by The FlyTribe.
11. Final Provisions
These Brand Guidelines establish the standards for authorised use of The FlyTribe brand and brand assets.
If any provision of these Brand Guidelines is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Brand Guidelines grants ownership of The FlyTribe intellectual property or authorises use beyond any permission expressly provided by The FlyTribe.
These Brand Guidelines should be read together with the Terms of Service, Commercial & Advertising Policy, Branded Content Policy and other applicable FlyTribe policies.
